Modular Innovation
State-of-the-Art Convenience
All the advantages of our site-fabricated, floating-fabric wall paneling system is now being made available in a ready-to-install version. No longer do you have to settle for soft-edged, easily damaged, glued-fabric panels. There is a much better alternative. Our Modular Panel System is available in heights as wide as your chosen fabric (up to 8’) and in almost any length. Enjoy the clean, unbroken appearance of these unlimited length panels.
Because each modular panel is shipped in 4' x 2' sections, you can receive a custom tackable acoustic or magnetically receptive panel in a package that's incredibly easy to install without paying a fortune in shipping costs.
What is included?
End Module

The End Modules are the first and last pieces to be mounted in a modular panel. You can fit two 48" x 24" End Modules together to form a 4' x 4' panel or add Field Modules to make them longer.
Field Module

The Field Modules add length in 24" (2') sections to the modular panel. The only limit to the amount of Field Modules you can add to your modular panel is the limit imposed by fabric length.
Cut-to-Size Fabric

Your Modular Panel comes with pre-cut Fabric from our large selection of styles and colors. The Fabric will be cut-to-size to fit your Modular Panel. You can also order your Modular Panel without fabric and use your own.
Attachment Pack
DIY Fabric Installation Tool

An affordable yet effective means of installing fabric on modular panels, the DIY Fabric Installation Tool is also great for insuring your panel sections are properly aligned when mounting to the wall. This tool is also handy for fabric replacement or touch ups. We do recommend purchasing the Professional Fabric Installation Roller Tool for use on site-fabricated installations.
Drywall Screws

Drywall Screws are the preferred method for attaching the Modular Panels to your wall. These will work great on any drywall or wood surface. Your Modular Panel will include enough drywall screws (8 per panel section) to properly attach each panel to the wall. Not recommended for concrete or solid block walls.
Driver Bit

We even include a Driver Bit that fits the included Drywall Screws. Use this bit with your multi-bit manual or electric screwdriver and included Drywall Screws to install your Modular Panel.
Accessories Included
Pushpins

Every one of our Modular Tackable, Acoustical and Magnetic panel kits includes a number of pushpins to get you started. Additional pushpins can be purchased here.
Pawn Magnets

Our Modular MagTack Magnetically Receptive panels also include a number of Pawn Magnets so you can start posting important documents right away without fear of damaging them. Addtional magnets can be purchased here.
Easy Installation
Installation is incredibly easy
Using a level to ensure the panel goes on straight, mount the first end module. We recommend using a power drill with the included Driver Bit and Drywall Screws. This will allow you to drill with one hand and hold the panel in place with the other. Six screws per panel are recommended: Two at the top, two in the middle, and two at the bottom.
Use the Panel Alignment tool to make sure additional panels are properly aligned with each previously mounted panel and double-check that the track edges meet and fit together snugly before mounting.
Fit the fabric incrementally into the jaws using our Rocker Tool. A good sturdy putty knife could work here too but the Rocker Tool really does make a big difference.
Don't worry about getting it 100% perfect with each insertion. What makes our track so special is that it is designed to allow adjustments. The fabric can be pulled and tweaked to ensure a perfectly even and flat surface. So if you accidentally cause a fold or crease just pull the fabric from the jaws and try again.
Before moving on to the next step, step back and make sure the fabric looks good on the panel. If it has a pattern is it straight? If it has a texture are there any sections that look warped? If so, fixing these issues is easy and quick. Most of the time, all you need to do is insert a bit more fabric around the edges to pull everything straight and make it uniform.
Using a good pair of sturdy Ergonomic Fabric Shears cut away the excess fabric. Leaving an inch or two is perfectly fine, the hidden channels are designed to hide that excess fabric.
Using either our Rocker Tool or ourFabric Roller Tool to work the excess fabric into the hidden channel. The Rocker Tool is perfect for hiding away the bits at the corners.
The Fabricmate Advantage
Why “floating” fabric?

Because the fabric covering is tautly held in place by the frame's hidden jaws, it is able to float freely across the face of the panel (not glued to the face like other wrapped panels.)
Changeable & Sustainable

Yes both, and at the same time. Because the fabric is held in the frame and not glued down, it's easy to take the panel down and replace the fabric. Just pull the fabric from the frame’s jaws and replace it. Save time, save money and send fewer perfectly good construction materials to the land fill. Most of the fabrics we offer are themselves recyclable.
Easy to clean
Our panels are routinely used in high traffic areas such as, hallways, classrooms, theaters and other public places and last for years. As opposed to paint, they look better when installed, stay looking better much longer, and reduce maintenance costs.
Durable

Our panels are extremely durable and long-lasting. The frame is made from a high-impact plastic that will not shatter or break. The ReCore® backing is made from semi-rigid non-woven polyester that is incredibly tough and able to absorb hammer blows and other impacts without surface damage. Many of our fabrics are highly resistant to wear, self-healing when tacked and look great even after years of use.
Tackable

ReCore®, the dense mesh of non-woven polyester used in our panels makes for a perfect tackboard. Tacks and pins stay where you stick them. Not only does ReCore® provide a tighter “grip” than cork and wood fiberboard, it will not break down and crumble over time. ReCore® naturally self-heals. You can stick it with pushpins, thumb tacks, staples, etc. and like magic, there are no holes leftover when they are removed.
Anti-microbial – Non-hydroscopic
The ReCore® backing used in our panels is both anti-microbial and non-hydroscopic. It is resistant to bacteria and fungal growth, is non-toxic and non-allergenic. It does not absorb moisture and will not rot, deteriorate or change color over time.
Adhesive Free
Because our panels are adhesive free they have no glue and no VOC's which makes for a smarter product design. Since the fabric in our panels is not glued down instead it is held tightly in place by the frame and freely floats over the backing surface. This advantage has the superior ability to negate impact damage including hammer blows. This also allows the fabric to be easily changed. It just makes sense.
Lightweight
Our panels are made from components that are durable but light in weight. This makes our panels easy to ship, easy to handle, and easy to install. Compared to wood or metal panels, our fabric stretched panels are much lighter and just as durable if not more so.
Thermally Insulative
Thermal insulation reduces the flow of heat through walls, ceilings, roofs and floors. The ReCore® backing used in our panels can provide an additional measure of thermal insulation on any surface. Additional insulation helps lower the energy required to maintain comfortable temperatures in a room and thus helps lower energy costs.
Revolutionary ReCore®
The Recore® Revolution
ReCore® is a revolutionary new insulation made from 100% non-woven polyester fiber. It is the environmentally responsible alternative to the usual unsafe and unsustainable substrates on the market today. ReCore® is semi-rigid and incredibly lightweight. It is impact-resistant and tackable yet retains excellent acoustical properties suitable for any wall or ceiling application. It is free of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) like formaldehyde and is non-hydroscopic, anti-microbial and anti-fungal.
ReCore® can be used as an acoustical insulation and as a tackable/pinnable surface. It's impact-resistance makes it an excellent choice for durable wall protection. It is thermally insulating and sound dampening. There is nothing like it on the market.
Because ReCore® is made of 100% recyclable polyester it is far more cost effective as a substrate than virtually any other material and has excellent sustainability. When it comes to other building materials ask yourself: Are they sustainable? Are they made from recycled content and also recylcable? Do they hold up against moisture? Are they safe to handle? When it comes to ReCore®, the answer is YES!
See how ReCore® compares to the top 4 most common substrates:

100% Recyclable
ReCore® is made from non-woven polyester and is 100% recyclable. After ReCore® has served its purpose it can be recycled for use in other products thus prolonging landfill life and reducing toxic emissions from incinerators. It also results in less air, water, and soil contamination as compared to similar products that are not recyclable.
VOC Free
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids. VOCs include a variety of chemicals, some of which may have short and long term adverse health effects. Concentrations of many VOCs are consistently higher indoors (up to ten times higher) than in outdoor environments. VOCs are emitted by a wide array of products including some resins and adhesives used in fabric wrapped panels.
Our ReCore® backing used in all of our panels is 100% VOC free. It is completely safe anywhere, even in enclosed environments.
Anti-Microbial & Anti-Fungal
ReCore® is naturally resistant to insects, spores and bacteria. It provides little room for insects to hide and has zero nutritional value for them giving even less incentive for them to try and make it their home. ReCore® is anti-microbial and non-hydroscopic. This makes it ideal for use in high humidity climates and environments as it will not absorb moisture and prevents the formation of mold and mildew.
Made from Recycled Content
ReCore® is made from 65% post consumer content. This lessens our dependence on petroleum as a raw material source. It helps promote new recycling streams for plastic water and soda bottles, keeping them out of our landfills and the environment. They are being recycled, reused, and reconstituted into something far more useful. It also results in less air, water, and soil contamination compared to using non-recycled content.

Changeable Fabric - Do-it-yourself Redecorating
If the fabric on your Fabricmate panel no longer matches the surrounding decor - no worries. A huge advantage of our floating fabric design is the fabric can easily be removed and replaced without affecting the panel. To change the fabric simply pull the old fabric from the panel frame jaws, position the new fabric in place and roll it into the panel's hidden channel using our fabric installation tool. In most cases the fabric can be replaced without even removing the panel from the wall.

Infinitely Tackable & Exceptionally Resilient. Thumb tacks and pushpins stick in easily and stay. Unlike corkboard or other tackable surfaces, you won't see an unsightly myriad of holes after a few years of heavy use. This durable communication surface is the perfect alternative to boring bulletin boards or dark cork wall tiles that crumble, deteriorate, and destroy wall surfaces. Completely self-healing, our Tackable & Acoustic Fabric Stretched Panels are exceptionally resilient.
Naturally Self-Healing
Holds Tighter Than Cork
Won't Break Down Or Crumble
Eliminates Reverberated Sound
Reverberated, or reflected sound can be a real problem. Whether employees are on the phone with customers, students need to clearly understand their lectures, a restaurant needs to be quieted, or the message needs to be heard in a church sanctuary, these panels can be an attractive and cost effective answer. Pre-made acoustical panels must be sized and placed in sufficient quantity to absorb the reflected sound in a specific area. For large scale applications, consider our Site-Fabricated Panel System.
Enhances Speech Intelligibility
Bare walls are an acoustics nightmare. Sounds bounce from corner to corner, floor to ceiling, overlapping and distorting into a mess of tangled sound. Speech becomes difficult to understand when you're hearing it bounce across every surface around you. You can't expect to get your point across when it's echoing back and drowning itself out in the acoustic fallout that your bare walls provide.
Our Panels and Wall Finishing Systems both absorb airborn sound and are resistant to sound transmission. they trap those confusing echos, letting them tangle themselves up in the substrate instead of your ears. Even a few panels in a room can make a huge difference in speech intelligibility.
All of our Panels and Wall Finishing Systems are extremely durable and long-lasting. Their frame is made from a high-impact plastic that will not shatter or break. Installation is incredibly easy
Using a level to ensure the panels go on straight, mount the end module. Though you can use anything from nail to a staple gun ee recommend using a power drill with screws since it allows you to drill with one hand and use the other hand to hold the panel in place. We recommend two screws per edge. So end moduls will be mounted with six screws: two at the top edge, two at the bottom edge and two on the outer edge.
Take care as you hang each additional Module, double-checking to ensure the track edges meet and fit together snugly.
Fit the fabric incrementally into the jaws using our Rocker Tool. A good sturdy putty knife could work here too but the Rocker Tool really does make a big difference.

What are Modular Panels?
Modular Panels are a hybrid of our Pre-made Panels and Site-fabricated System. They are delivered in pre-made sections called Ends and Fields. A Modular Panel consists of two End sections and the number of Field sections needed to create the desired panel length. These sections are installed together on a wall to form the panel. Then the Fabric can be stretched across the panel and installed using the supplied fabric insertion tool. The Modular Panel System makes panels greater than 4'x8' possible that are easy to install while greatly reducing shipping costs.
Useful Anywhere
Fabricmate Tackable Modular Panels are perfect for Classrooms, Hallways, Lobbies, Libraries, Conference Rooms, Offices, Residential and any place where panels with a long uninterruped length are needed to provide a tackable surface and improve aesthetics. Place them in hallways to provide an area to post announcements. In classrooms, these panels provide a tackable surface to display documents plus some acoustics to improve speech intelligibility. In offices they provide beauty and functionality to all of your wall surfaces. Put them up in your kids room to provide a fabric canvas where your child's creativity can run wild.
Guilford of Maine's Anchorage
This tough sound soaking fabric is woven from 100% recyclable or compostable material using increasingly sustainable manufacturing practices to produce a high quality product. Not only is it easy to clean, it is notoriously difficult to damage and by nature, resists warping and stretching. This is a set it and forget it fabric and with it on your panel you won't have to worry about maintenance. Clean with a dry cloth if it becomes dusty. Scrub with a damp cloth if it gets dirty and allow it to air dry.
